New contracts at Tivoli

Citydev has given some information about the awarding of the contracts for the development of the Tivoli district. This will be a mixed use district with the constructions on a 4.5 hectare site, located close to the canal a little further out of town than Tour & Taxis and Up-site. The offices part of the scheme is progressing well and will total 12,800 m². The first building of this part – Greenbizz – will be ready to receive its first occupants during the summer of next year. This is being developed by CEI-De Meyer.

The latest news involves the attribution of contracts for the development of around 400 apartments, and has gone to the ‘Parbam’ association, made up of Pargesy and BAM. Around a third of these will be zero energy and the remainder passive. In total, 70% of the apartments will be let at subsidised rates by citydev.brussels.

The development will eventually be completed by two crèches and some retail units, along with a 20 hectare park.
