Grand Poste Lige - new look revealed

Meusinvest has presented an image of what the redevelopment of the Grand Poste in Lige may look like. As reported by Lige Today, the 8,000 m of space will largely be active as an incubator, dedicated to start-ups active in the media and the digital world. Lige Today also confirms that it will be international in scope and that it will have connections to the University of Lige. Among companies expected to be present in the new incubator are LeanSquare, le VentureLab.be, La Forge Coworking. The university will also have a presence with its communication department, there will be a cultural incubator, a food court and a micro-brewery in partnership with Brasse & Vous.

Located in the historic heart of Lige close to the Cathedral and the Meuse, the Grand Poste was originally built between 1896 and 1901. It has been the subject of numerous redevelopment plans, and was recently acquired from the Berryer group by public development company Meusinvest. The redevelopment of this iconic building is also designed to add further stimulus to the rehabilitation of the Cathedral district. The project is scheduled for 2019.
