Prestige residential development on Avenue Louise

The latest conversion of an office building to residential use on the Avenue Louise occupies a very privileged position. Louise 228 developed by British company Everland with the project management mandated to Phicap – is the next but one door neighbour of Horta’s Hotel Solvay, and thus right in the middle of the prestigious avenue.

The developers are making use of both these elements in the design and marketing of the 16 apartments. In design terms, the apartments (from studio to 3-bed) include a range of high-tech features as standard. These include a Smartbox in the hall, enabling packages to be received securely when the occupant is absent, and a virtual concierge, accessed by a touch-screen in the hall or by smartphone. Remote heating control, a range of household appliances, and sound pre-cabling are also part of the basic package. A,other feature is the ability to open the apartment door remotely by smartphone, for example to let an electrician in when the apartment is unoccupied ( a similar system to that found on connected cars).

Where the location is concerned, the developers are highlighting the close proximity of the Châtelain district, the Ixelles ponds, the Bois de la Cambre and Flagey. On top of these are the multitude of shops and other services on the Avenue Louise itself.

The first phase (16 apartments of which 7 are already sold) will be delivered in the autumn of next year, with a further 9 to follow in a separate building to the rear.
