Two major deals for Manhattan Centre

Icon Real Estate has announced two lease transactions for the iconic Manhattan Centre at the Place Rogier in the heart of Brussels. COST Association, an organisation financed by the EU andoperating in the domain of science and technology, has signed a 12 year lease for some 3,000 m².

Alongside this, International Workplace Group (IWG),which is the largest worldwide operator of work spaces, has taken 3,750 m² for a 15 year period. IWG is the company behind Regus and Spaces, and the new deal very much represents a return too roots for the company. Around 30 years ago, in fact, a young Mark Dixon turned up in Brussels with an idea, andopened the first ever Regus centre at Stephanie Square.

These two deals follow a 4,000 m² transaction by international law firm Covington & Burling, signed at the end of last year. Other notable tenants in the building are Vlerick, Delhaize and Basic Fit.

Renovation works on the Manhattan Centre started last year and are scheduled to be completed next year.
