SPACES continues its growth strategy

As the co-working frenzy continues, one of the growing operators, SPACES, has opened a new co-working center in the heart of the European district of Brussels. It occupies an area of around 4,400 m² over five floors of the brand new building located at Rue Belliard 40. It is aiming, according to the owners, at SME’s, start-ups, national or international companies and others. SPACES Belgium Director General William Willems (formerly of Regus) speaks of revolutionising the way of working and pushing it to a new level, along with creating a ‘community of professionals’.

Large glazed areas enable natural light to penetrate into the building. Along with areas for working and meeting rooms, SPACES European District Center features a restaurant-café under the name of Green Kitchen, which leads directly onto a 400 m² garden. A 100 year old chestnut tree is the central feature of this garden.

The first SPACES opened at Pegasus Park alongside the airport. Following this new centre on the Rue Belliard, others are already scheduled for Mechelen, Antwerp, Brussels Stock Exchange and Tour & Taxis. By 2020 the company is planning for around 20 centres in Belgium.
