There is a major district regeneration project available for a developer to take up in Charleroi. Public service housing association La Sambrienne has put up for sale a collection of buildings in the commune of Lodelinsart. These are three apartment buildings and two garage blocks. The association is thus looking for investors to take on this lot of buildings.

The complex comprises an apartment block of nine units, two further blocks of six units each, and a total of 11 garages. A common garden is also included in the offering. Some € 735,000 would acquire all of the 23 apartments.

On its website, La Sambrienne points out that the cost of renovation of these buildings is simply too high for it to take on. The apartments are to be renovated, and can be considered to be at the status of major structure completed with all of the exteriors insulated. The association says it is looking for an investor who can see the potential of the site.

The site itself is located 1.7 km from the centre of Lodelinsart and just 2.2 km from the centre of Charleroi. It is close to the E 420 and to a bus stop.

Charleroi has been undergoing a major renovation with a number of projects, and La Sambrienne says that for anyone wishing to take a bet on the city, this is an ideal location.
