Larger companies targeted by citydev

It has been announced by citydev.brussels that the public sector developer is moving into a new area of activity. It has bought a site at Haren (Rue du Dobbelenberg 85 – rue du Pré aux Oies 303, 1130 Brussels) extending to 22,000 m². this will be developed as a business park for medium and large enterprises, and is expected to enable up to 110 jobs to be created.

Philippe Antoine, Director General of Economic Expansion at citydev, explains the new direction: “Following the business parks for very small/small and medium enterprises, this represents a new product we are offering: a park for medium and large enterprises. As is indicated by the name, the modules on offer within this site are aimed at companies whose surface area needs lie between 1,000 and 4,000 m². These are larger sizes than those on offer in our other business parks”.

One of the objectives of citydev is also to avoid this site being used for logistics only, which is an activity creating fewer jobs. The existing buildings (formerly occupied by Editions Gallimard) are largely in excellent condition, and will enable the site to be divided into four independent industrial halls of 1,200, 2,500, 4,100 and 4,200 m². The buildings will be able to be subdivided according to demand. Some interest has already been shown by a supplier to the horeca trade, and the remaining space will be marketed prior to delivery, expected in the summer of 2019.
