First Aquilis building inaugurated

Eaglestone and Atradius have just inaugurated the first phase of the Aquilis project in Namur. The first building is the 5,600 m² Atradius building (BREEAM Very Good), which will house the association’s 250 employees under a 16-year lease agreement.

The entire Aquilis site extends to 3.2 hectares, and was bought by Eaglestone in 2012. Permits were obtained at the end of 2014 and construction works commenced in April 2015. When completed, the project will amount to around 20,000 m² of offices, along with 100 apartments and 12 houses. These residential units have been sold (from plan) to residential specialist Thomas & Piron.

These figures mean that when the whole site is finished, some 250 residents and 2000 employees will be on the site. The second phase of offices (5,000 m² and 10,000 m²) is underway.
