Lunch with a multi-award winner

The latest in the series of ‘Lunch with an Architect’ events organised by Forum Communication (Nathalie Zalcman and Kathleen Iweins), sees Julien De Smedt of JDS Architects at the lunch table at Flagey next Thursday, June 8th.

This is a prestigious selection, as JDS Architects has won a number of international awards, and constitutes a Belgian architectural bureau with an international scope (offices also in Copenhagen and Shanghai). The most recent award was at Realty where the bureau won the Urban Award in the ‘European Architecture Awards’ for Faaborg Harbour Bath. Prior to that, along with a whole string of others, the bureau won the ‘Mipim Residental Award’ in 2013 for the Iceberg residential project at Arhus.

Julien De Smedt will come to outline his philosophy and his current projects in Belgium and elsewhere, which notably include (in Belgium) the Charleroi Congress Centre (photo). Further information and registration for the event can be found at www.forum-communication.be.
