Record entries for Belfius Smart Belgium Awards

Belfius has announced that it has received a record number of 233 submissions for the ‘Belfius Smart Belgium’ awards. These come from large and small companies, schools, universities, local authorities… All are entering to try and win one of the five category prizes (plus a public vote prize) which will be announced and handed out during the Smart Belgium event on March 21st, at ‘The Egg’, close to Brussels South Station. The domains of activity for which candidates were invited to submit their dossiers are: the circular economy, smart city services, education, energy, environment, health and prevention, mobility, urban development.

The five categories are as follows:

Belfius Smart City Award, for cities of over 30,000 inhabitants;
Belfius Smart City Award, for cities of under 30,000 inhabitants
Belfius Smart Company Award, companies with more than 10 million Euros turnover;
Belfius Smart Company Award, companies with less than 10 million Euros turnover;
Belfius Smart Care Award;
Public Prize.
