Botanic Tower changes hands

There has been a major transaction in the North District of Brussels. Cushman & Wakefield has announced that it has acted for Allianz Real Estate on the sale of Botanic Tower (via the sale of the Botanic Building company).

The building, comprising 30,000 m² of GLA over 18 storeys, was originally constructed by the then Fortis Real Estate more than a decade ago, under the name of Botanic Building. It is located just on the other side of the railway bridge behind the Place Rogier, a district which is seeing considerable development at the moment. This location provides tenants with views over the Botanic Gardens. A major advantage is the proximity of the North Station with its trains, trams and buses, and from which the airport is reached in ten minutes or so.

The tower and has been sold to funds managed and/or advised by Partners Group, the global private markets investment manager. The Property offers significant asset management opportunities and uplift potential.

The sale confirms the increasing interest for this part of town, says Cushman & Wakefield, supported by strong and improving leasing activity, and by the global attractiveness of the Brussels market.
