An internal garden at the Cinquantenaire Museum was the perfect setting for getting things underway

Besix RED celebrated its 30 years of existence yesterday at the Cinquantenaire Museum. CEO Gabriel Uzgen underlined the company’s desire to create living and working spaces, and these include offices, apartments and hotels.

Besix RED currently has developments underway in several cities and countries, with the Netherlands and Portugal having recently joined the ‘home’ markets of Belgium and Luxembourg.

Also presenting at the event were Besix Group chairman Johan Beerlandt and CEO Rik Vandenberghe. The former remembers hiring a rather young Gabriel Uzgen who was ‘not always easy to work with’, while the latter spoke of the importance of Besix RED to overall group performance Both congratulated Gabriel and his team of 44 for their excellent results. These include turnover of 145 million Euros in 2017 with an operating return of around 24%.
