As reported by Trends/Knack and De Tijd, the Persgroep has sold its site in Kobbegem to logistics operator WDP for 13 million Euros. The site occupies a total surface area of 5 hectares and has a constructed area of over 9,000m² and substantial car parking. Persgroep is moving its operations to Antwerp.

The publications go on to say that against all expectations, interest in this site was very high. ‘There is simply nothing available in that area’, according to a property market analyst. Along with WDP, Montea, De Paepe, Domo (the Jan De Clerck family) all reportedly showed great interest. Another company which is said to have been interested is nearby tank transport specialist Vervaeke, reported as having an acute shortage of space. The transaction still has to be officially finalised.
