Eaglestone buys Woluwe Atrium

Developer Eaglestone, active in particular in the residential domain and in the conversion of obsolete office buildings into residential use, has announced a new acquisition. The company has taken possession of one of the icons in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert – Woluwe Atrium – located on Rue Neerveld, close to Woluwe Shopping Centre.

Eaglestone has indicated that it intends to leave the building in its current affectation as offices (it is in particular home to law firm Loyens & Loeff) for a few years, before converting it into apartments. The new project will be under the name of ‘The W’ and its exact vocation will be the subject of discussions with the local authorities. Currently, Eaglestone is scheduling delivery of the transformed building for 2022. the building currently extends to around 13,000 m², which would suggest that with a mix of apartment sizes averaging 100 m², for example, some 130 units may be envisageable.

The company speaks not only of the proximity to the Woluwe Shopping Centre (a major advantage for residential use of course), but also to the nearby St. Luc Clinic. It also points out that the Boulevard de la Woluwe is nearing the end of its renovation, which will bring further attractiveness back to the district. Roodebeek metro station is also just at the end of the road.
