Home Invest Belgium, which as its name suggests, specialises in residential property, has announced an acquisition in a specific segment of this market. The company has acquired BE Real Estate, which owns four ‘apart-hotel’ properties in the centre of Brussels. Apart-hotels operate as normal rented apartments, with kitchens and bathrooms, but benefit from hotel-type services including reception, cleaning and changed bed linen.

The four assets involved total 185 residential units of this type. The first of these is located in the heart of the European district (a logical position for this type of accommodation) at 28, Square Ambiorix. The second is in the Grand’Place district at 25, Rue des Dominicains. Next comes 149 Avenue de Tervueren, at the Montgomery roundabout and therefore also very close to the European district. Finally, between the European district and the Belgian administrations is a property on the Boulevard du Régent. The properties will be operated by Beapart under a 27-year agreement, on behalf of the new owners. They will be operated under the name of B-aparthotels.

The 36 million Euros value of this latest transaction brings the total value of the portfolio of Home Invest Belgium to over 600 million Euros. Some 65% of this value is located in Brussels.
