To further expand its multi-brand network of business & coworking centres in Belgium, IWG (International Workplace Group) known for operating the REGUS & SPACES centres has announced that it is looking for franchise partners. The objective is to increase the number of business centres they operate in the country from 40 to over 130 by 2029. To execute its policy, IWG has appointed Rob Hogervorst to seek franchise partners. He has a great deal of experience in this domain, having been in charge of franchises for Dutch fast food chain Febo for ten years. Franchisees will benefit from access to Spaces’ sales and marketing platform.

The recent growth of IWG in Belgium has seen it increase its sites from 13 to 40 over the course of the past four years. One of their latest opening is 'Spaces Stock Exchange' right in the heart of historic Brussels. This business centre has just opened in an art deco building on the Rue des Poissoniers, where it offers 4,600 m² of co-working and office space, along with meeting rooms, across the nine floors of the building. Spaces describe the centre as ‘glamorous, roaring twenties’. The building itself indeed dates from the twenties, when it was designed by architect Henri Wildenblanck to be the headquarters of the ‘Banque Agricole de Belgique’. Many of the original features have been conserved and renovated where necessary. On the ground floor is also to be found a ‘Green Kitchen’ café, open to Spaces members and others. This latest opening brings the number of Spaces centres in Brussels to six.
