Befimmo invests in partnership with Co.Station

Co.Station is the owner of several coworking centres which feature a mix of shared spaces and offices, meeting rooms and private offices. There is a centre in Brussels opposite Central railway Station (3,500 m²), one in Ghent (2,600 m²) and a third in Charleroi (1,800m ²).

In 2019 Co.Station announced its intention to foster and nurture innovation ecosystems to efficiently solve complex business and societal challenges. They started in 2019 with energy (IO.Energy), then mobility (co.mobility) and now ‘co.responsibility, a think tank for seeking future-proof solutions for people and businesses beyond COVID-19. By the end of the year, they also intend to launch the ‘co.building’ ecosystem to tackle all matters related to smart and sustainable buildings designed to provide healthy workplace environments.

Last week Co.Station announced that real estate company Befimmo is taking a position in their stakeholding. BNP Paribas, which founded Co.Station in 2014, remains the main stakeholder with 42.5% of the shares, and the four other stakeholders are Proximus (20 %), SD Worx (12.5 %), USG People (12.5 %) and now Befimmo (12.5%). Each of these stakeholders provides its expertise in a specific domain (finance, HR, telecoms), and within this context Befimmo is bringing its expertise and know-how in the real estate sector.
