Ville 2 on the offensive

Rive Gauche is not the only shopping centre to be making the news in Charleroi. Ville 2, the first shopping centre to open its doors in the province of Hainaut (in 1990), underwent a renovation and extension in 2012. The centre is now making a further marketing offensive and has appointed CBRE Retail team as exclusive agent.

There is already some significant movement. For the opening of its 11th store, FNAC has chosen a surface of around 1,100 m² located on the ground floor of the shopping centre, occupying the space from early November.
And for its first opening in Wallonia (following 5 stores in the major Flemish towns), Atelier Rebul, a brand specialized in perfumes and skincare since 1895, has opted for a small commercial unit of 40 m² within the complex.

Other brands such as Superdry, Parfois (a Portuguese fashion accessories for women brand), ShopforGeek (t-shirts, figurines and wall decorations for geeks) and Candybar were also advised by CBRE as part of the search and opening of their commercial presences in Ville 2. Many other negotiations are also said to be underway with national and international retailers.

Ville 2 numbers 120 stores, 14 restaurants and a 14-screen Pathé cinema, and attracts 4 million visitors a year. It is spread over two levels, with one level exclusively dedicated to eating points.
