Office development continuing at Brussels airport

The House of Development, a Belgian company and member of the Royal Properties Group (Netherlands), is currently developing a further element of the business space offering close to Brussels Airport. Located at Da Vincilaan, Machelen, within the framework of existing buildings, the Airport Business Center project consists of a total of three buildings with underground parking. It will feature two office towers with mixed functions on the ground and 1st floors (meeting district, restaurant, brasserie ...). The upper floors of buildings A & B will be offices and building C will be a hotel. The office floors are mostly in the range of 1,300 to 1,500 m².

Designed by Jasper – Eyers, Airport Business Center has obtained BREEAM Outstanding certification. Details of the configuration of the buildings are as follows: Building A (offices) will total some 12,587 m² Building B (offices), 16,437 m² and Building C (Hotel), 6,739 m².
In addition to this above ground space, there will be 17,000 m² below ground and over 11,000 m² of outdoor space. The schedule has slipped back from that originally stated by the House of Development, and completion is now expected during the third quarter of 2022.

In terms of accessibility, along with the obvious proximity of the airport and its bus and train station, the future airport tram will, say letting agents CBRE, stop outside the front door of the hotel.
