Thomas & Piron enters the Swiss market

The Thomas & Piron group has just completed the acquisition of the Swiss construction company Dumas, which will be its bridgehead on the Swiss market. Founded in 1976, the Belgian group – based in Paliseul – today employs more than 2,200 people in Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Morocco, Portugal ... and now in Switzerland.

200 Swiss employees will now be integrated into the Thomas & Piron group, without changing the structure in place at Dumas, which will retain its identity and autonomy and with Philippe Dumas, son of the founder of the company, as chairman. Over 40 years, the Dumas construction company has forged expertise in the highly technical construction and civil engineering trades.

On top of this, the Thomas and Piron group has expanded its international positions by acquiring a French company active in the northern region of France – ‘Les Hauts de France’. Where this second acquisition is concerned, however, Thomas & Piron has acquired only the order book and the clientele, not the staff nor any equipment.
