Tim Harrup

Development agencies citydev .brussels, housing agency SLRB and the Foyer Anderlechtois have given details of a scheme to be constructed alongside the Ceria and Coovi university campus in Anderlecht. This location is therefore just inside the Ring at the level of the Chaussée de Mons and immediately alongside both a metro station and a large car park. The project – City Campus – will include a business park destined for SME’s active in the food processing domain (18 workshops covering 5,000 m²), and a large number of residential units. These are divided as follows: 70 social apartments and 293 student flats. There will also be 119 parking spaces, the majority of these covered, and a security unit. Gardens and rooftop gardens are designed to encourage interaction between residents. Each apartment has a terrace or balcony. Rainwater recuperation is one of the elements of sustainable development included in the project. Works on the project have just started and are scheduled to last three years. The architects are Crepain Binst Architecture and ORG Architecture, and the developer is Van Roey Vastgoed.
