Operating under the slogan ‘Rethink Real Estate, We Invest -the real estate franchising company - operates a differentiated real estate agency model, centred on marketing and on technological development. Its ‘client members’ are themselves real estate professionals. The company believes that the industry has remained very traditional and wished to further modernize it. It has developed a SaaS software system for its clients which digitalizes a large part of the sales process.

We Invest has been Founded in 2014. After two years of pilot project mode in Belgium, We Invest founder Jonathan Pham and CEO Raphaël Mathieu, have refined the business model of the company. Last year, the Brussels scale-up successfully raised funds of one million Euros to support its ambitions. Today the company has announced that, in a call to investors, it has raised 4.5 million Euros among public and private investors.

Family office Ardent Invest, public body finance &, investment fund Leansquare and Walloon risk capital enterprise Sambrinvest, are added to a panel of private investors including Sunrise (sold to Microsoft) founder Jeremy Le Van, who joins the We Invest Board Further support for the call for capital has come from BNP Paribas Fortis and from M&A Ekkofin. The investors present during the previous fundraising mainly renewed their confidence in We Invest.

Strong growth with good results

The company has demonstrated the robustness of their franchisor business model launched a year ago. During 2020, and despite the pandemic crisis, We Invest posted good results with some 110 million Euros of real estate transactions carried out through its network of agencies, an increase of 95% in its turnover. Until now, around 12 agencies have been operating under the aegis of We Invest, most of them in Wallonia. In the near future the company ambitions to open up to 25 agencies in Flanders.

Speaking of the company’s success, CEO Raphaël Mathieu says: “A We Invest agency is capable of doing in two to three years what the other agencies do in five to ten. In reality, We Invest is not a simple property franchiser, it is a ‘tech’ lever which is working to digitalise and facilitate residential real estate transactions.” Sambrinvest Head of Digital Unit Olivier Mertens speaks of We Invest having ‘dragged the real estate sector into the modern era’.

The company wishes to continue to invest in the technological development of its products. This year We invest launched year what it describes as the first ‘predictive, complete, reliable and transparent’ residential real estate index on the Belgian market.
