The Liège fairgrounds will soon be leaving the Coronmeuse peninsula to move to the Bressoux site. The rehabilitation of the station and its surroundings will also help in the public project to upgrade the Droixhe district.

This redevelopment is part of the overall plan entitled ‘City in Transition’ being undertaken by the City of Liège, through the Structural Funds 2014-2020 FEDER program of investment in Wallonia. The total budget for the project, developed by the temporary association Archipelago-Baev and Mangado y Associados, is close to 33 million Euros.

From 2023, the new infrastructures with a total surface area of around 14,000 m², subdivided into 5 flexible halls from 600 to 6,200 m², will host all types of events, general public and professional fairs, exhibitions, sporting events, seminars, congresses, corporate events, parties and concerts.

This ambitious project led by the IGIL (Intercommunale de Gestion Immobilière Liège) and supported by the SPI has been granted its permit following the public inquiry.
