Eaglestone has acquired the 17,340 m² office building leased to EY located in the airport district, 2 De Kleetlaan, 400 meters from Diegem train station from German asset management group Real I.S. Group . The office space is spread over 6 above-ground floors; 3 underground floors are offering 405 parking spaces. In February 2024, at the end of the current tenancy by the financial audit and consulting firm Ernst &Young, Eaglestone plans a complete redevelopment of the asset through a major renovation and expansion program which includes 4 additional floors to arrive at a total area of some 22,000 m².

The conversion project will be mandated to the initial designers of the building – Jaspers-Eyers Architects – whose mission will be to reuse the original structure of the building in order to minimize the amount of embodied energy in the building and reduce the carbon footprint of the project. The investment value of the project sis expected to exceed 65 million Euros.

Sophie Lambrighs, CEO of Eaglestone Belgium, explains the redevelopment project: “The performance of the building no longer meets the expectations of the current office market. We therefore have to plan a major renovation in order to meet the latest standards in terms of sustainability and energy performance. We also plan to completely revise the ground floor so that it can accommodate shared spaces and a wide range of services for the future occupants”.

Delivery is scheduled for 2026.
