'Mix' is definitely going to be one of the new trendy places in the South of Brussels! In the iconic ‘Royale Belge’ building, Mix Brussels' development team aimes to create an all-in-one complex of 21,000 m2 where hotel, events and meeting center, restaurants, gym and wellness centre and coworking space are mingling. For the time being, the transformation works operated by CIT Blaton and leaded by DDS+ architects are in full speed. Up to now the building is still surrounded by construction machinery. Inside construction workers and craftsmen are working hard because the grand opening of The Mix is planned for this summer.

According to the newspaper l'Echo, the developers of the 'Mix' project have negotiated with the owner of the premises, the insurance group Bâloise, a long-term lease contract (27 years renewable twice for 10 years). Jean-Michel André, CEO of Limited Edition Hotels and shareholder of Mix Brussels is a key player for the operation of the new new four-star hotel with 180 rooms which will spread over three levels of the building. The company Limited Edition Hotels is known for transforming the hospitality concept of a conventional hotel with an innovative and refreshing offer in harmony with the history and surrounding of the hotel. In Brussels, ‘le Berger Hotel’, White Hotel’ and ‘Jam hotel’ are well representative of the concept.

The latest news related to Mix Brussels development has recently been published by L’Echo. Pascal van Hamme and Thierry Goor, the founders of the ‘Wolf’ - the first food market in Brussels - are now investing 3,5 million € in the creation of a hype food market in the ground floor of Mix: a space of 1,800 m2 integrating ten food corners, a central bar and a ‘coffee to go’ bar. It will be branded ‘FOX’ in reference to the dark orange glazing of the building. In the beginning of the year, it was also announced that the company Uperform will partner with MIX Brussels for the operation of a ‘performance centre’ part of the Gym and Wellness centre. The three restaurants parts of Mix, will be operated by the French group Moma.

For sure the workers of the Belgian private bank Puilaetco, the Claeys & Engels law firm, Emakina digital marketing agency, Auxipress and the pharmaceutical company MSD who will move soon to settle their office in the top floors of the building will value the new living and working experience of Mix.
