.CORE gets green light

OFFICES

EAGLESTONE Belgium and ION have announced today that they have obtained planning permission for their ".CORE" project: a sustainable development aiming at transforming an outdated building from the 70’ies -the former Embuild headquarters - into a contemporary office building with exemplary energy and environmental performance, and workplace flexibility.

".CORE" building is strategically located in Brussels Pentagon, rue du Lombard, in the heart of the historic centre. It achieves an impressive 100% walk score: everything is accessible on foot – shops and restaurants, museums and galleries, public transport (including Brussels central railway station) and green spaces.

The developers entrusted A2RC ARCHITECTS for the design of the building which will retain its iconic modernist architecture. VK architects+engineers, is partnering for this renovation. With 8,400 m² spread over 9 levels, ".CORE" aims to be an innovative workplace. The project features a rooftop with exceptional views of the Grand Place and the Brussels Parliament. The internal spaces have been totally transformed around a central atrium that draws in natural light and allows greenery to flourish.

Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE Belgium have been mandated for the marketing of the office spaces which should be available for office private fit out woks by the end of 2024.
